Your Origin Agent in Vietnam

When you buy FOB Vietnam, you choose the forwarder at origin, not the seller. Nominate Protrans and we answer to you: we chase your factories, load your containers, file the export and report back in English.

Overseas buyer

We Work for You, Not for the Factory

Most origin agents in Vietnam are appointed by the seller, so the buyer hears what the seller wants them to hear. As your nominated forwarder we take instructions from you and report to you first.

  • Nominated by you, accountable to youWe follow your shipping instructions, not the ones the seller sends us. Booking confirmation, rates and status come to you before anyone else.
  • We chase the factory so you do not have toCargo ready date confirmed and re-confirmed, stuffing supervised, photos of the loaded container before the doors close and the seal number recorded.
  • Several suppliers, one containerCargo collected from multiple Vietnamese factories, consolidated at our warehouse and shipped as one lot on one B/L.
  • C/O prepared for your duty savingForm EUR.1, Form E, Form AJ or Form D, matched to your tariff line so the preference is not refused at your border.
  • One contract, one invoice, in USDProtrans is a licensed Vietnamese forwarder. You deal with one company, not a chain of local subcontractors billing you separately.

Why FOB Buyers Nominate Their Own Agent

Three things you lose when the seller picks the forwarder.

You see only what the seller shares

A seller-appointed agent reports to the seller. Delays reach you after they are already unrecoverable.

Origin charges you did not agree

Local charges at origin get inflated when the party paying them did not choose the provider. Nominating your own agent puts that line back under your control.

A C/O that fails at your border

The form has to match your tariff line, not just exist. Getting it wrong costs you the preferential rate on the whole shipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work for me or for my Vietnamese supplier?

For you. On a nominated FOB shipment our instructions come from the buyer. We tell the factory that in writing at the introduction, so there is no confusion about who we report to.

Who pays which charges on FOB Vietnam?

The seller covers costs up to the goods being loaded. You cover the ocean freight and everything after, plus the origin local charges that fall to the buyer under your agreed terms. Every line is named on the quote so nothing is ambiguous.

Do I need a company registered in Vietnam to use you?

No. We contract with your overseas entity and invoice you in USD. No local registration is needed to nominate a Vietnamese forwarder.

Can you consolidate from several factories into one container?

Yes. Cargo is collected from each supplier, checked and consolidated at our warehouse, then shipped as one lot on one bill of lading. You get a single set of documents instead of one per supplier.
