Your Destination Agent in Vietnam
You sold CIF or DDP and the part you cannot see is what happens after the cargo lands. Protrans clears it, delivers it to your customer and sends you the proof.
Sell DDP Without Guessing What Happens at the Port
Quoting DDP into a market you do not operate in means pricing a cost you cannot see. Protrans gives you the destination side as a fixed number before you sign, then executes it.
- Import clearance at the port of entryDeclaration, inspection and release at Cat Lai, Hai Phong or Noi Bai, by our own licensed customs team.
- Delivery to your customerTrucked to the consignee anywhere in Vietnam, with signed proof of delivery returned to you.
- Documents reconciled firstYour invoice and packing list are checked against the declaration before anything is filed, so a mismatch does not become an inspection.
- A destination cost you can quoteClearance, duty, VAT and delivery priced up front so your DDP offer holds.
What Protrans Handles at Destination
Everything between the vessel arriving and your customer signing for the goods.
Customs and duty
Import declaration filed and duty settled, with the FTA preference claimed where your goods qualify.
Storage if the buyer is not ready
Bonded and general storage near the main ports, so a slow consignee does not run up demurrage.
Proof of delivery
Signed POD and photos returned to you, so you can close the sale on your side.
Why Suppliers Appoint a Vietnamese Agent
Three things go wrong when the destination leg is left to the buyer or to whoever the line hands it to.
Demurrage nobody owns
Containers sit while the consignee arranges clearance. Appointing the agent yourself puts a clock and an owner on it.
Documents that do not match
Vietnamese customs compares the declaration against your invoice line by line. A description that reads fine in your system can stop the container here.
One entity, one invoice
Protrans holds the licence and issues the invoice. You are not reconciling charges from a broker, a trucker and a warehouse.
How a DDP Shipment Runs
Send the shipment and the consignee
We price the destination leg so you can build it into your offer.
We pre-file before arrival
Documents checked and the declaration prepared while the vessel is still at sea.
Cleared and delivered
Container released, trucked to the consignee, POD sent back to you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Protrans act as importer of record?
The importer of record must be a Vietnamese entity. Where your buyer is the importer we act as their clearance agent under your instruction. Where you need a fully landed solution we arrange it through a licensed importing party and quote it as one figure.
Do you handle goods that need an import permit?
Yes. Permits, quality inspection and specialised registration are applied for before arrival. Tell us the product early because some categories take weeks, not days.
How do I know the cargo actually reached my customer?
You get a signed proof of delivery and photos on the portal, on the same record as the shipment, so it is auditable later.
Can you quote in USD?
Yes. Freight and destination charges are quoted in USD and invoiced in USD. VAT on the Vietnamese portion is shown separately.
